Family Counselling Geelong
18+ Only | 2 people Max.
Families are made up of love, history, roles, and unspoken expectations which can sometimes lead to misunderstanding, tension, or disconnection. Whether it’s between parents and children, siblings, stepfamilies, or extended relatives, navigating those dynamics can be incredibly challenging but also deeply rewarding with the right support.

Family counselling service offers a calm, supportive space where each person feels heard and respected. We’ll gently explore the patterns that have led to conflict or distance, work through hurtful moments, and begin creating new ways of relating that feel more open, honest, and emotionally safe for everyone involved.

Together, we’ll work on healing the relationship not just between family members, but also with yourself. Because when we feel more grounded in who we are, we’re better able to connect with those around us.
What you can expect: A Step-by-Step Process
Lasting change in a relationship doesn’t happen overnight but with the right support, it can happen. Here’s how we’ll work together, step by step:
01.
Initial Family Session
We’ll meet together to talk through what’s happening in your family dynamic, what each person hopes to change, and what a more connected relationship might look like.
02.
Individual Sessions (if needed)
Depending on the situation, individual sessions may be offered so each person has a chance to express their thoughts and feelings privately. These help uncover deeper understanding, which can then support healing within the group.
03.
Ongoing Family Session
We’ll continue with joint sessions where we focus on building better communication, setting healthier boundaries, repairing trust, and fostering empathy. The goal is to support each person in feeling more secure and connected within the family.
Most families begin with 2–3 sessions spaced a couple of weeks apart to build trust and establish momentum. Depending on your needs, 2–6 sessions may be enough to regain balance and clarity. You’re always welcome to book more family relationship sessions as needed there’s no pressure, just support at your pace.
